Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store hiring just 4 people. Overall sales for that particular year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. Within five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 employees and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is one of the leading worldwide producers within the material handling trade.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business possibilities. During the past sixty years, the material handling trade has developed into a highly advanced area and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this development. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the premier supplier of lift truck attachments and numerous related products. The business feels certain in their potential to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining competitive in the global market.

In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, fabricating and advertising hydraulic accessories. Construction was finished in 1956 on a brand new facility to accommodate all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

The next production plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, San Francisco. 1960 marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. with areas in Springfield, San Francisco, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are fabricated globally because of numerous subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is designed to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five firms, including the international best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
